A couple of photos from my university trip to Townsville, the Governor’s Castle on Coronation Day, and I finally made it to the top of Flinders Peak!
PS Hans Modrow has passed away. I am too young to have any idea of what he did whilst in office, but I saw his photo every time I Googled the code for alternating colour shading in Excel…

We have been very fortunate to have had few fire problems this week (compared to the southern states.)
We have been in the forest and sea each day and have been lucky to see these awesome creatures. With a bit of luck the weather will be kind and let the firies do their work to save the creatures and forests (and their own homes.)
The snake is the Morelia spilota mcdowelli, McDowell’s Python. What a lovely name for such a lovely creature!
It’s been very dry this week, so we have been filling the water pots on the hill. We’ve seen a couple of unusual creatures!
